Big Snowstorm
The first snowfall was 25 inches, then we received nearly another foot on top of that. It was hard to tell what the cummulative total was because the first one melted slightly and then snow plows, shovelling and drifts skewed attempts to get a grand total. Let's just say it was a LOT of snow - in fact, the most snow the DC area has seen in a single winter in 126 years.

We lost power for a few hours one night but it was right before bedtime. So, we all had to camp down in the living room by the lit fireplace to stay warm. Luckily power came back during the night and stayed on henceforth.
