Uncle Ken, Aunt Jamie and Connor were in town for Ken's Naval Academy reunion and we got to hang out on two separate occasions.

They happened to be here on the weekend after AJ's 5th birthday, so the day they came out to our place, we celebrated with an ice cream cake.

We've started going on routine family bike rides that sometimes include bringing along a packed picnic lunch or dinner at a nearby park on evenings and weekends.

And Carmen pulls the girls in the trailer (the "motherload" with the girls weighing in together at 50+ pounds plus the weight of the trailer):

AJ and Lia both ran in a little kids fun run Labor Day weekend.

By the time AJ and Lia crossed the finish (with Carmen), the crowd had obstructed the view. This is just a video of some of the kids (not ours, though) coming across the finish line.

Chinese tradition is to have a party when the new baby is one month old (instead of a baby shower). Below are pictures of some of the cousins at a recent party for our newest cousin Zoey.

The kids went to a cool activity hosted through the local MOMS club where they got to groom, paint (yes, paint!) and wash a pony. The nearby pony ranch is a nonprofit organization that does a lot of stuff for kids with disabilities.
