School end-of-year assemblies were held by grade via Zoom this year. All three received the highest level of commendation for character, called the Joshua Godly Champion awards, as well as academic excellence medals (honor roll).

As is customary, teachers shared a few remarks about each of their students. The video clips below are just the short excerpts of those personalized remarks.

AJ - 8th Grade assembly with his homeroom teacher who is also the school principal, Dr. Dan Switzer

Lia - 6th Grade assembly with her homeroom teacher, Ms. Anna Switzer

Anna - 5th Grade assembly with her homeroom teacher, Mrs. Claudia Magana

Living Grace Awards Assembly

End of year school assembly: Completion of 6th grade for AJ, 4th grade for Lia, and 3rd grade for Anna. All three kids received outstanding commendation during the awards! All three received the highest character award, the Joshua godly servant leadership medal. All three received Academic Achievement medals (honor roll). Lia had perfect attendance for the year; AJ and Anna had outstanding attendance.

In addition to awarding the certificates and medals, the teachers take a couple of minutes to talk about each student and specifically to recognize a particular godly character trait they've seen in that student throughout the year.

This was the first end of school year assembly in the gymnasium of the new building.

All three kids got leadership medals (given only to the top student leaders in each class). AJ and Lia both made academic honor roll (which Anna would've gotten too with her grades, but they don't start honor roll until 3rd grade).

Lia was so excited to graduate from Kindergarten! And she had to be so patient - Wong is at the end of the alphabet!
