Here are some pictures of our adoption group. Poor Lia was crying.

Today she had to get her Medical visit. It was kindof dramatic for Lia. It consisted of 3 rooms. Each room did various checkups. She cried in all 3. Currently she weighs around 18 pounds and 27 inches long.

Today, we went to a Rural Village just outside of city. The standard of living here is a little better because they are close to the city. Most of farmers have moved from working the fields to jobs in the city. However, their were a few still farming rice. Jianxi is the central place for most of rice harvested for China.

This was interesting. This was picture of clinic. If kids were sick, they didn't have medicine in like a pill format. Instead, they used an ivy and inserted the drugs that way.

Well, Carmen left today to head back to Texas. I will be here another week and meet up with Carmen later in Texas. So it means I'm on my own with Lia. So far things are good. She is more comfortable with me now. I'm so glad she is a great sleeper. Today she was very mobile and getting into everything. I had to start putting stuff higher up.

We visited a park today. It was really cool in that there were people throughout the park doing Tai Chi. It looks like a great hang out for older people.

I've noticed everywhere I've been, someone is playing cards or board game


This was neat. This guy was doing caligraphy on the ground with big brush with water.


I've noticed rock type is used in several different places. It's a rock gathered from a lake and used in gardens for display. This was also at Forbidden City.

To promote health, the govt put exercise equipment in the park. It was cool seeing older people exercise on it.

Well, last night we didn't get much sleep. Lia is teething. Her two front teeth are coming in. She woke up with a rash on her face. This is from her rubbing her face constantly because of the pain from teething.

Luckily, it is on the Agenda today to head to Walmart and get some supplies. We will get some teething rings and hopefully this will help.

After finally getting her the right formula (same one orphanage uses), she drank from a bottle. She passed out right afterwards.

While in Nanchang, I took some pictures of local area.

By the way, aggresive driving is a way of life here. People are constantly beeping their horns and cutting each other off. It's really really crazy. However, no one gets mad like in the United States. They just accept it's way of life. And they only beep horns to warn people they are driving by.
